Southern Yellow Pine is one of the strongest resinous trees used in the construction field. Given its attractive look, it is both an aesthetic and practical choice.

Douglas fir is characterized by strength, stiffness and durability. The tall, branch-free trunk of larger trees yields fine-grained Clear timber in long lengths as well as Factory grades for remanufacture and a wide range of high strength structural products.

Western red cedar is known and respected as one of Canada’s most beautiful and durable wood species, and one of its most commercially valuable. Cedar tends to be used for applications where dimensional stability, natural durability and fine appearance is required. It can be used for outdoor landscape elements such as decks, planters, fences, screens, garden furniture and sheds, as well as for exterior siding, roof tiles, interior wall and ceiling panelling, doors and windows, and a variety of joinery items.

Hem Fir is the British Colombia’s most abundant species. Its' excellent wearing qualities products large amounts of clear and factory lumber from the log. Hem Fir is valued for its good working properties and can be machined easily.

Western red cedar has a straight and even grain with a coarse texture. It is non-resinous, and has a distinctive cedar smell, but is not a true cedar. It is naturally very durable although soft and bruises easily, therefore great for cladding, fascais etc. but not ideal for decking or external joinery. It is often used for timber green houses.
